Morocco is a North African country on the borders of Atlantic Ocean and Mediterranean Sea. It is distinguished by its Berber, Arabian and European cultural influences mixed together.

While Rabat is the capital of Morocco, Marrakesh (a former imperial city in western Morocco) is a major economic center and home to mosques, palaces and gardens. The Medina is a densely packed, walled medieval city dating to the Berber Empire. It offers entertainment in its Djemaa el-Fna square and souks (marketplaces) selling ceramics, jewelry and metal lanterns.

The Kasbah of the Udayas (in capital Rabat) is a 12th-century royal fort overlooking the water.

Towards cultural heritage, the nomadic tribes of Northern African countries like Morocco and Algeria are called ‘Berbers’.

These nomads continue to live their lives in the same manner as they lived hundreds of years ago.

Berbers identity is usually wider than language and ethnicity, and encompasses the entire history and geography of North Africa.

While most opt for ready, off the shelves travel packages, some prefer luxury trip to Morocco with some of the leading travel agencies to enjoy insider experiences, stunning and varied landscapes, unique cultural interactions and a host of extraordinary moments.

I hope you enjoyed this tiny travel inspiration nugget.
