French Visa:

Applying for a French Visa is more easier than one usually think. VFS Global is the official visa processing agent for the French Visas in UAE, operating out of Dubai and Abu Dhabi.

Visa application process consists of 4 simple steps:

  1. Visit VFS Global (UAE) France website and download the Visa Application form and note all the important requirements for the type of short term visa you are applying for. This is partly paper-based visa application system.
  2. Schedule an online appointment for the in-person application submission and keep a copy of the appointment letter.
  3. Visit your chosen Visa Application Centre (Dubai/Abu Dhabi) on the day of your appointment and submit your application form along with your passport and other required documents (usually a letter from the company, 3 months bank statement, confirmed/tentative airline and hotel bookings plus travel insurance) and enroll for Biometrics.
  4. Pay applicable fee and finally choose whether you would like to collect your documents in person or have it delivered to you by courier.

Tourist Visas are usually issued for 6 months. The authorities will issue you a Schengen Visa which will entitle you to enter all Schengen states, however in this case; your first point of entry must be France.

Visa issuance can take anything between 2 to 4 weeks or more depends on the season and cases. It is highly recommended that you apply with sufficient time in your hand.

There is no defined criteria on how much money you should have in your bank account to apply for a visa, however, as long as your bank statements indicate that you are financially comfortable and have enough to travel and take care of yourself in case of an

y medical or other contingencies, you are good to go.
